Social Action

Social Justice and protecting the rights of human beings is at the very core of what Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. was founded upon. Our National Social Action Commission strives earnestly to ensure that issues impacting our country and world are at the forefront of our consciousness. Locally, we earnestly seek to empower the residents of Inwood and Washington Heights, through forging partnerships with community organizations. In 2010 the Committee has focused on the following issues: Census 2010 and supplying long-term assistance to the nation of Haiti.
