Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. established the Delta Research and Educational Foundation (DREF) as a public charity supporting scholastic achievement, public service programs, and research initiatives focused upon African American women.
In collaboration with DREF, the North Manhattan Alumnae Chapter established the “Further Together” campaign to raise funds for scholarships for young people pursuing higher education and to contribute to our programmatic initiatives in the Washington Heights and Inwood community.

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated is a non-profit, public service organization. Founded on January 13, 1913 on the campus of Howard University by 22 college-educated women, Delta Sigma Theta remains at the forefront of evoking change around the world.
The North Manhattan Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. was chartered on December 13, 1980 and has successfully impacted lives and communities within the Washington Heights area and beyond through the sorority’s principles of sisterhood, scholarship and service. North Manhattan Alumnae Chapter is a movement, not a monument that prides itself on delivering innovative programming with a far-reaching impact.
