The North Manhattan Alumnae Chapter Scholarship was established to help African American women in need of financial assistance, pursue a degree-granting program directly from high school. This is a four-year scholarship of up to $2,000.00 per year, payable to the student in installments of up to $1,000.00 per semester upon proof of registration at a college or university.
Eligibility is limited to students attending a public high school in Upper Manhattan with a cumulative grade point average of 85% or better. Additionally, you must be a current high school senior expected to graduate in June 2021.
A continuing scholarship will be based on maintenance of a minimum grade point average of 3.0 or “B”.

2. A Statement of Purpose
3. Two (2) letters of recommendation are required (Examples of recommenders: Principal, Counselors, Teachers
or other individuals who have knowledge of your qualifications and character.)
4. Proof of Income: Federal Income Tax Returns (forms 1040, 1040A, or 1040EZ) or parents’ Social Security statement must be submitted with your application. If your parents are unemployed or have not filed taxes for the previous year, please submit a letter of explanation.
