40TH ANNIVERSARY FUNDRAISING INITIATIVE
NMACDST has been selected by PinMe 1913 as a recipient of their 2020 Fundraiser Facilitation Grant. The grant will allow NMACDST to give chapter members and our supporters a great gift for what will be your generous donation. When you choose a pin you choose to help provide needed scholarship funds to high school scholars pursuing higher education.
Since the inception of the scholarship program the North Manhattan Alumnae Chapter has awarded over $250,000 in scholarship aid to NYC high school students. The one-time and recurring scholarships help fill some of the financial gaps as students and their families work to finance higher education. In addition to financial assistance, NMACDST's scholarship program offers invaluable mentorship to all scholarship recipients for the duration of their college careers and beyond. With your pin selection NMACDST will be able to continue providing scholarships for the next 40 years.

For our 2020 Fundraising Initiative non chapter members can support the gift of scholarship by purchasing the supporter option below. When you purchase the LOVE pin from PinMe 1913's DIVA Collection for $20.20 by selecting NMACDSTgold or NMACDSTsilver a portion of the proceeds will go to NMACDST. When any of the NMAC specific pins are purchased at the $20.20, $40, or $80 level all proceeds will go to NMACDST.

When you give $40 you will make sure that a NYC student gets the financial assistance they need. For your gift you will receive the Commemorative NMACDST 40th Anniversary Logo Pin from PinMe 1913.
40th ANNIVERSARY COMMEMORATIVE PIN OPTION
When you give $80 or more you will receive the PinMe 1913 Commemorative NMACDST 40th Anniversary Logo Pin, the NMAC1980, the NMACtion pins and have a hand in 40 more years of continued service in the northern Manhattan communities.

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. established the Delta Research and Educational Foundation (DREF) as a public charity supporting scholastic achievement, public service programs, and research initiatives focused upon African American women.
In collaboration with DREF, the North Manhattan Alumnae Chapter established the “Further Together” campaign to raise funds for scholarships for young people pursuing higher education and to contribute to our programmatic initiatives in the Washington Heights and Inwood communities.

40TH ANNIVERSARY SERVICE PROJECTS
In addition to helping fund scholarships your generous donations help the North Manhattan Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. provide rich programming to the members of our community at no or very low cost. With your offerings we are able to expand our reach and make an even more meaningful impact.
Below are service projects we will lead during our 40th year in ACTION.

August
In August NMACDST gathered resources to assist our community partner, CLOTH,
with distributing food and needed goods to the community in the Washigton Heights section of our catchment area.
​
September
In conjunction with the virtual edition of our annual Backpack Jam and Health Symposium hosted in collaboration with several community partners, NMACDST was able to provide free loaded backpacks that included brand new ChromeBooks as well as school supplies. This effort was made in order to assist students with the new virtual learning set up we have all had to adjust to during COVID-19.

November
Recognizing the need for more support with virtual learning, NMACDST aims to continue providing students in our catchment area with free schools supplies for use during the remainder of the 2020-2021 school year. In November a student in need was identified by our community partner, The Armory Center P.A.L. and the chapter was able to provide a free Chromebook and a fully loaded backpack for the student. We look forward to being able to supply additional materials for students at the P.A.L. should the need arise and collaboarting for upcoming programming for the duration of the 2020-2021 sorority year.

December
Though it may look a little different NMACDST will continue with our yearly effort to provide children and families at Northern Manhattan Headstart with gifts during the holiday season. If you would like to donate to the annual drive please CLICK HERE.
This year the chapter will expand its reach by adding Madison Square Boys & Girls Club as recipients of gifts from the chapter's yearly gift giving drive. 'Tis the season! If you would like to purchase a gift for this giving drive please CLICK HERE to select one item or more from the individual wish lists. Help NMACDST reach our goal of giving 40 or more needed items to youth in the community.
